Application information
The Organizing Committee of the IAB Congress is pleased to offer a limited number of travel grants to attend the IAB World Congress of Bioethics, June 26-29th, 2012 in Rotterdam. The following conditions apply:
- Travel grants are only available for individual participants of the IAB Congress 2012;
- Application for a travel grant will only be considered if the participant has received the letter of notification that his/her abstract has been accepted for oral or poster presentation at the IAB Congress;
- Only participants from countries of the list below can apply for a travel grant;
- Only participants with an annual income ≤ $ 14.000 can apply for a travel grant;
- Travel grants include:
- coverage of travel costs: economy class airplane tickets
- a reduction of the Congress Fee to 100 Euros
- free admission to the boat trip and dinner on Wednesday evening (June 27th 2012);
Travel grants do NOT cover accommodation (e.g. hotel accommodation) – Successful applicants will be informed on formulas for low-budget lodging, which they can book at their own expenses.
- The travel grant will NOT be paid in cash; the Organizing Committee will provide successful applicants with travel vouchers;
- DEADLINE for application is FEBRUARY 21th, 2012
- You will be notified whether your application has been accepted before March 3rd, 2012
- NOTE: Early registration date for IAB Congress is March 5th, 2012
PROCEDURE of application
Application letters must be send by email to Prof. I de Beaufort before 21 February 2012. The application must include:
- Full name, address, date of birth, country, number of passport, working address
- Title of abstract or poster accepted by IAB
- A copy of the notification letter from IAB
- A copy of the passport
- A proof of annual income
- short description of your travel route to the IAB Congress
- an estimate of the expected travel costs
